I took my MRF King Edition into Fantail for a weight reduction service ($100) about a month ago, and the results have been game-changing.
A massive thanks to Blake, the owner and lead bat maker. He is incredibly friendly and took the time to calmly answer all my questions about bat services and general cricketing equipment. What really impressed me was his attention to detail—since the bat had high-quality original stickers, Blake was able to carefully remove them and then reapply them perfectly after the weight reduction. You can’t even tell the bat was worked on!
The bat feels perfectly balanced now. I’ve been using it regularly for a month in Auckland social cricket, and the difference in my play is noticeable. My drives, in particular, feel much cleaner and more controlled because the pickup is exactly where it needs to be. I’ve been scoring significantly more runs since the adjustment because I can finally trust my hands and play my shots with total confidence.
If you have a top-tier bat that needs some professional tuning, I can't recommend Blake and the team at Fantail enough!
