Fantail Cricket Bat Warranty

Fantail Cricket provides a 6-month limited warranty for bats purchased after 20/02/26 (bats purchased on or prior to this date carry a 12-month warranty), covering specific faults listed below. Repairs due to reasonable use within this period are free, though return postage and packing charges apply. Subsequent repairs and servicing incur a fee. Reasonable use is defined as using the bat to hit cricket balls. If a bat is deemed unrepairable due to listed faults within 6 months, a store credit equal to its value will be issued. Fantail Cricket Ltd reserves the right to void the warranty if the bat is misused or if labels are removed. No cash refunds are available, and customers must cover return postage costs.

Should you believe a warranty claim necessary, the product must be returned to us for inspection. Proof of purchase is required for any claim to be valid. 

The warranty period does NOT include the following;

  • Misuse
  • Insufficient knocking in and preparation prior to use
  • Superficial cracking
  • Superficial denting 
  • Damaged/Broken edges, face or toe, or excessive use
  • Bats used against bowling machines are not returnable as these machines especially damage them.
  • Damage due to moisture and or dirt
  • Service add-ons

The warranty period does include the following;

  • Shoulder cracking
  • Handle cracks
  • Splice cracks
  • The blade breaking in half laterally
  • Damage due to storm damage

Fantail Equipment & Clothing Warranty

We offer a limited warranty against any fault of manufacture on all Fantail equipment and clothing. Provided the equipment/clothing has been properly maintained, this warranty covers repairs and replacements due to manufacturing faults. Repairs and replacements within our warranty period are free of charge, though return postage and packing charges usually apply.

Please note that cricket equipment is made of materials prone to wear and tear. The warranty covers only damage affecting the item's functionality, not wear and tear. For example, a worn-out palm on batting gloves isn't covered under warranty.

If you believe a warranty claim is necessary, return the product to us for inspection, along with proof of purchase for the claim to be valid.

No cash refunds will be provided, and customers bear the postage costs for returns. For replacements, the remaining warranty period of the original product transfers to the replacement.

Warranty Periods:

  • Protective gear: 3 months (covers split seams & stitching faults)
  • Bags: 6 months (covers split seams, stitching, faulty zippers & wheels)
  • Grips: 1 month (covers splits)
  • Clothing: 6 months (covers split seams & stitching faults)

Fantail Services & Repairs Warranty

Warranty Periods:

  • Toe guards: 3 months (covers adhesion failure, provided there isn't denting/cracking)
  • Handle replacements: 6 months (covers handle breakage & splice delamination, provided there isn't prior shoulder cracking)
  • Threading: 3 months (covers breaking or coming off)

PLEASE NOTE: We offer a crack repair service, not a prevention service. We do not warranty crack repairs as we can't predict willow behaviour, but we aim for durability. Crack repairs are temporary; consider purchasing a new bat for a permanent solution. For details, contact us before ordering.

If a service isn't listed, it means no warranty is given.
